Rutgers vs. Princeton
The first ever played football game was played on November 6, 1869. The game was played with 25 men on each team with almost the exact same rules as rugby. It was played at 3 P.M. and about 100 spectators showed up at the event. The Rutgers players all wore red scarves to distinguish themselves from the Princeton players. It was a long game that lasted until about 5:30 P.M. and Princeton won the game 6-4.
